The Archaeological Museum of Arona was opened in 1997. It is located in the left wing of the 19th-century Covered Market in the central piazza San Graziano. It gathers the archaeological finds from the town and from the Lower Verbano area. The history of human settlement in the territory is illustrated, thanks to an effective chronological display of the material, from the earliest archaeological evidence of the Neolithic and Eneolithic up to the post-Renaissance pottery and glass found during the excavations for the extension of the town hospital.http://www.archeomuseo.it/
