German WWI trench dagger

German Grabendolch from the First World War, C70 steel blade with a brushed finish, walnut grip scales fixed to the blade with 3 iron rivets, iron guard. This dagger was used by soldiers in the trenches during the First World War; it is a fearsome, very sharp-pointed weapon with a double edge to improve penetration and a small guard to protect the hand.
Blade length about 14 cm, grip length about 10 cm, blade thickness about 3 mm, weight 124 grams. The grip has been stained to look more like the colour of the original model.
