Lorica hamata

Reproduction of a Gallo-Roman lorica hamata with iron mail humeralia edged in leather, and hooks to hold the front of the humeralia together with the mail.

The shape of the mail shirt is inspired by the statue of the Vachères warrior, second half of the 1st century BC, which presumably depicts a Gaulish chieftain.
